How To Clean a Stove Top, Simple Tips for a DIY Cleaning
There are different types of stovetops and they all should be cleaned properly, as they are all different, there are various way to clean them properly.
If you have a glass cook top, you will want to get a single edge scraper that will help to get rid of food- buildup stuck in the edges. Spray glass top cleaner on the stubborn area and let it sit for a while. Once the cleaner has sat for a while, scrape off the residue firmly without pressing too hard. After you have scrapped off the stove top, wipe off any excess with a clean cloth.
As for gas cook tops, these can be a little bit more difficult to clean. Depending on your grates, you may just stick them in the dishwasher. For stubborn stains, soak them in warm water with soap. Begin to scrub gently with a sponge and stains should right off.
Another popular stove top is the electric coil top. Just like the other stove tops, these are also prone to food spills and splashes. To ensure a clean stove top, be sure to unplug the burner, then you can gently wipe it down with a soapy sponge. Make sure to not get water on the electrical connection. As the burners are drying, clean around the rest of the cook top. Once the burners are completely fry, you may place them back on the stove.
